Eleven composers have been honoured with Ivor Novello Awards at The Ivors Classical Awards, celebrating the best new classical music and sound art.

Over 30 composers have been nominated for the awards, which celebrate creative excellence in composition for contemporary classical music and sound art.
"Not everyone gets to do music, so it just really made me be open minded about the journey and understanding that it’s the process that’s the prize - The fact we get to write, the fact that we get to go and rehearse and just jam. The greatest celebration of songwriters returns for its 69th year on Thursday 23rd May at Grosvenor House London. Entries open on Monday 4th December 2023.
He joins a prestigious list of 24 Fellows, including John Adams, Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Judith Weir CBE and Sting.
The change means that more music creators at the start of their careers can benefit from membership at a discounted rate.
