The Ivors Academy has today announced a weeks’ worth of planned activities to celebrate songwriting and composing for screen, taking place during the week of The Ivors with Apple Music on 2 September.
The programme will spotlight songwriting and composing greats through a number of free webinars and masterclasses which look to inspire, educate and engage with the creator community. Each unique session will shine a light on the craft of music writing and the ecosystem that supports professional writers.

PRS for Music: Jamie Hartman video interview
Grammy nominated, Brit Award winner and Ivor Novello Award nominee, Jamie Hartman, speaks to M magazine from his home in the UK about writing and producing with a range of artists including Lewis Capaldi, Calvin Harris and Celeste, amongst many others.

PRS for Music: Pam Sheyne webinar-masterclass
Multi-platinum selling songwriter, vocal producer and singer Pam Sheyne shares her experience as a topline songwriter. Pam also reflects on co-writing Genie In A Bottle for Christina Aguilera. The UK No.1 hit single won her International Hit of The Year at The Ivors in 2000.

PRS for Music: Right Said Fred video interview
Forming in 1989, multi-platinum award winning artists and songwriters, Fred and Richard Fairbrass are one of the few nominees to have won the PRS for Music Most Performed Work Award twice at The Ivors. The brothers speak to M magazine about winning the prestigious accolade for I’m Too Sexy in 1992 and Deeply Dippy in 1993.
