INSIDE TRACK

Inside Track is an artist development year long development programme founded by Ivor Novello Award winning songwriter and producer Cassell the Beatmaker which provides creative and career opportunities to five participants from underrepresented groups and/or creators who are facing significant barriers to accessing the music industry. 

The programme provides development time in the studio, mentoring, networking opportunities and career support. Inside Track also includes a live performance event for the creators to showcase their work and celebrate their accomplishments

WHAT’S INVOLVED

Over 12 months, participants work with Cassell the Beatmaker to:

• Write and produce two tracks.
• Collaborate with award-winning musicians and songwriters.
• Participate in training workshops and mentoring (including image and brand development and business planning).
• Receive promotional opportunities to elevate their profile.
• Showcase their work through a live performance.
• Receive invitations to industry networking opportunities.

We are thrilled to introduce five new talented artists and writers joining Inside Track in 2024, who will work with Ivor Novello Award winner Cassell the Beatmaker to get an immersive experience of the music industry. 

ABOUT THE PARTICIPANTS

Aisha Kigs is a Pop R&B singer/songwriter from Cardiff, Wales who is passionate about “pushing the envelope and creating a world” through her music.

Isaac Stunna is a rapper and songwriter from East London. He uses music as a way express how he is feeling at a giving moment in time and is keen to develop and grow his craft.

Jmarni is an Afrobeat / R&B artist who is passionate about creating a sub genre of Afrobeats with the taste of Portuguese Kizomba and Afroswing.

Saasil is a neo Soul singer/songwriter who wants to develop her skills as a songwriter, and be able to “use knowledge from other styles to write for other people”.  She loves to perform and wants to grow a community of music lovers around her.

Sam Fraser is a singer/songwriter who writes about emotions and real experiences. With a huge emphasis on lyricism, he aims to create music about his own experiences that people can relate to.

CASSELL THE BEATMAKER

With over a decade of experience, Cassell the Beatmaker is an Ivor Novello Award winning songwriter and producer who has worked with an impressive list of new and established artists including The Streets, Plan B, Natasha Bedingfield and Jeff Beck, amongst others. 

Cassell and the In the Making team offer holistic and professional support to allow participants to thrive and unleash their creative potential.
