Music for Screen – Establishing Good Commissioning Practice

We're holding an event to discuss current commissioning processes, exploring the challenges composers face within the environment and what steps can be taken to develop good practice.

Please join The Ivors Academy for a panel discussion which will look at current music to screen commissioning practices and explore some of the challenges composers face within this environment. This we hope will be the first in a series of conversations which will help build understanding, awareness and create a positive development within the commissioning community.

We’ll be joined by representatives from broadcasters Netflix, Sky and BBC, along with members of the composing and publishing communities. Speakers include:

Nicky Bignell, Head of Music Licensing, BBC Music Copyright
Dominic Walker, Director, Radio & Music, Motion Gallery & Learning, BBC Studios
Harriet Moss, Managing Director, Manners McDade
Mark Ayres, Composer and Chair of The Ivors Academy Media Committee
Peter Bradbury, Director of Music, Sky
Dominic Houston, Head of Music, Netflix

Doors will open at 6pm, followed by a panel, Q&A and networking drinks.

Tickets can be booked via Eventbrite here
