Music & Coffee with Lady V and The Ivors Academy 30 June

We are pleased to be holding a regular coffee morning session hosted by Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter and The Ivors Academy committee member Lady V. This week Lady V will be joined by four acclaimed music creators as they share invaluable career advice, writing tips, their wisdom and inspiring ways to keep motivated during lockdown.

This week’s special guests include:

Singer/Songwriter Catty Hopkins

Catty has worked with some of the top writers and producers in the UK including Mark Ralph (Jax Jones, Clean Bandit), Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, One Direction), Jen Decilvio (Anne Marie), James Earp (Lewis Capaldi) and many more. Catty started her career as one half of pop duo Dusky Grey (East West Records & Parlophone Records) alongside her friend Gethin Williams. Together they have reached over 35 million streams on Spotify alone.

Artist/Songwriter Cat Burns

Cat Burns is an 19 year-old graduate from the prestigious BRIT School. She was just 16 when chosen as BBC Radio 1XTRA Track Of The Week, being described by Jamz Supernova as an exciting new artist delivering ‘Meaningful Pop, with a urban folk/singer-songwriter twist.’

Artist/Producer Shadow on the Beat

Last year saw Shadow work with artists from UK, Europe and the US, from dancehall to grime. With regular appearances on GRM Daily, SB.TV and MTM amongst many others, Shadow has garnered support from some of the biggest supporters of UK Grime which has helped secure him some vital sponsorship deals and profile with brands and products such as: Akai, JD Sports and Footlocker.

Singer/Songwriter/Producer James Smith

Over the last year, Smith has steadily built up a following releasing songs under the radar including the viral hits Tell Me That You Love Me and T-Shirts amassing 160 million total streams across all tracks. He has also played a string of sold out shows in London (Omeara, Dingwalls) as well as Europe (Amsterdam, Hamburg and Berlin).
