ENTER OUR AWARDS

Submit your music for an Ivor Novello Award at The Ivors with Amazon Music or The Ivors Classical Awards.

Eligible works can be entered by anyone, including the songwriter or composer themselves.

Additionally, The Ivors Academy invites year-round third-party suggestions for the Gift of the Academy awards, recognising exceptional contributions to music.

All entries must be submitted via our awards entry website.

Entries for The Ivors 2025

Entries are open in seven categories:

• Best Album
• Best Song Musically and Lyrically
• Best Contemporary Song
• Best Film Score
• Best Video Game Score
• Best Television Soundtrack
• Rising Star Award with Amazon Music

To be eligible, songs, albums or scores must have been released in the UK for the first time between 1 January and 31 December 2024.

At least 33.3% of the work must have British or Irish authorship, calculated across all songwriters and composers, including samples used. Non-British or Irish contributors are eligible if they resided in the UK throughout 2024.

Entries are open until 17th January 2025 and anyone can enter, including the songwriter or screen composer.

The administration fee is £150 + VAT per entry, discounted for Ivors Academy members:

• 75% off for Professional members, saving £135 per entry
• 50% off for Standard members, including Early Career, saving £90 per entry 

Eligibility for discounts:

• Entrants must be members at the time of entry.
• Discounts only apply to entries submitted directly by the entrant.
• If a third party submits an entry on the entrant’s behalf, the full price of £150 + VAT applies.

There is no fee to enter the Rising Star Award, applicants must be aged 18–24, British, Irish, or UK residents in 2024 and members of The Ivors Academy. If you’re under 25 you can join as an Early Career member at a discounted rate.
