Industry Insights is a new unique event series open to all members of The Ivors Academy, providing regular opportunities for members to connect and collaborate with each other, as well as network with leading representatives from across the industry.
Each month we’ll bring together experts and partners from across the creator community to explore topics relating to the professional careers of music writers, in an informative yet relaxed environment at our offices in Borough, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from the people who support creators across the music business and can help you develop as a songwriter or composer – from publishers to lawyers, to managers, broadcasters and commissioners.
NXT-Gen is an exciting new membership tier from the Music Publishers Association dedicated to nurturing the next generation of music publishers. Offering unparalleled access to publishing communities, networking events and career-building resources, this is an incredible opportunity for young professionals passionate about music publishing. Whether you’re an individual, or an aspiring publishing business, NXT-Gen can help you realise your full potential.
We are delighted to present this event in collaboration with the Music Publishers Association (MPA) on Monday 9 March. Taking place in the cinema at The Ministry in Borough, London, from 18:00, the discussion will explore the publishing industry from the perspective of a creator, a publisher and a lawyer, looking at the different ways publishers exploit musical works. You will also hear about career opportunities within the industry and the different roles a publisher plays.
