In The Studio With Chris Hawkins and Hannah Peel

Join us for the third instalment of our online event series as we go behind the scenes on a guided home studio tour with acclaimed music creators.

This week, producer and presenter Chris Hawkins will be walking us through the BBC 6 Music studio set up, exploring the ways you can make the most of your own studio environment, along with tips and advice on how to get your music played on radio.

Chris will be joined by 2019 Emmy-nominated composer and musician Hannah Peel who will be accompanying him on the tour!

About Chris Hawkins

Chris presents a daily show on BBC Radio 6 Music and has interviewed some of music biggest names including Calvin Harris, Dave Grohl, Florence Welch, Bjork and Jack White.  He is also a Radio 4 documentary presenter and hosted a critically acclaimed series exploring music and mental health following an in-depth programmed about music and politics.

Chris is proud to chair the Nordoff Robbins Manchester Network and be an Ambassador for The Princes Trust.

About Hannah Peel

Hannah Peel is an Emmy-nominated and RTS winning composer. As well as releasing solo albums and as part of indie band The Magnetic North, Hannah has contributed vocals, synths, orchestrations and her conducting skills to artists such as Paul Weller, Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve (Erol Alkan) and Rae Morris. Hannah also co-presents Night Tracks on BBC Radio 3 with Sara Mohr-Pietsch.
