We are pleased to be holding a regular coffee morning session hosted by Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter and The Ivors Academy committee member Lady V. This week Lady V will be joined by three acclaimed music creators as they share invaluable career advice, writing tips, their wisdom and inspiring ways to keep motivated during lockdown.
This week’s special guests include:
David Arnold
David Arnold has become one of the British film industry’s most talented and respected composers, composing for the world famous James Bond movies including Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough, and Die Another Day, as well as the Grammy Award winning score for Independence Day and TV shows Sherlock and Dracula. Away from the film world, David Arnold maintains a career as a successful record producer and songwriter, having worked with a wide range of contemporary artists such as Björk, Damien Rice, and Garbage. He is a Fellow of The Ivors Academy.
Gary Clark
Gary Clark is a 3 X BMI and Ivor Novello Award nominated songwriter. His career began as singer-songwriter-instrumentalist in late ’80s band Danny Wilson, penning their international hit Mary’s Prayer, before moving into the areas of songwriting and production. He has worked with many artists including Natalie Imbruglia, McFly and Demi Lovato, and is currently writing the music for the Nanny McPhee stage musical with Dame Emma Thompson.
Olga FitzRoy
Known as Coldplay’s ‘go-to engineer’ in London, Olga FitzRoy is an accomplished engineer and mixer, having worked on film and TV scores as well as working with bands and artists. She has worked on film and TV scores out of the top orchestral studios in London and Europe on notable titles including Doctor Who, Luther and The Crown.
