BASCA presented the 19th Gold Badge of Merit Awards on 9th October 1992 at London Hilton, Park Lane, London.
Sponsored by MCPS the awards included music from the Brian Dee Trio. The following individuals were awarded a Gold Badge of Merit:

Guy Fletcher, Chairman of the British Academy of Composers, Songwriters and Authors, said:

Since BASCA inaugurated these unique awards in 1974 there have been only 219 recipients. The list comprises writers, performers, musicians, producers, publishers, impresarios, in fact, people from every corner of the music business. Every single one of them has made a special and lasting contribution to our industry and helped to bring the joy of music to millions of people.
