Our Ethics Committee provides a confidential, impartial space for members to raise concerns about conduct, professional practice or behaviour that may breach our Code of Conduct for members and staff.
If you’ve experienced or witnessed inappropriate behaviour, discrimination, bullying or other unethical practices in a music industry context, you can bring it to the committee for review and advice.
We are committed to upholding a safe, fair and inclusive professional environment for all songwriters and composers.
We support the establishment of CIISA, the Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority, which exists to uphold and promote professional standards across the creative industries, including music.
When fully operational, CIISA will offer an independent place to raise serious concerns, including incidents of bullying, harassment or discrimination, where internal procedures are inadequate or unavailable.
CIISA is being created in consultation with the creative community, including The Ivors Academy, and is a vital step towards ensuring everyone can work safely and with dignity.
