As part of The Ivors Academy’s ongoing commitment to fostering leadership, diversity and empowerment in the music industry, we are pleased to announce several key promotions. This news coincides with the upcoming induction of our Director of Awards, Fran Matthews, into the Women in Music Roll of Honour on Friday 11th October.
These promotions reflect our dedication to developing talent within the industry and will strengthen our leadership and ability to protect, champion, and empower songwriters and composers.
- Laura Moreno has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, moving from her role as Senior Operations Director. Laura’s expertise has been critical in driving operational excellence, financial strategy, and developing key partnerships. Reporting to the Chief Executive, her leadership will be vital in delivering the Academy’s mission.
- Grace Croucher has been promoted to Membership and Events Senior Manager, advancing from her role as Senior Events Manager. Grace has played a central role in curating impactful events that bring our community together, and she will work with the team to grow our membership and enhance member benefits and services.
- Maria McMillan has been promoted to Governance and Policy Senior Manager from her previous role as Governance and Administration Manager. Maria will work with our member Senate, Board and Councils to ensure that the voices of songwriters and composers are heard and respected at all levels.
- Jévis Lawson has been promoted to Relations and Outreach Manager, formerly Programmes Manager. Building on his experience managing creative development initiatives such as writing camps and Rising Star Award opportunities, Jévis will lead our outreach efforts, building relationships with external partners that benefit our members.
- Charlie Withers has been promoted to Membership Coordinator, previously Membership Administrator. In his new role, Charlie will support the Membership team’s initiatives, ensuring smooth operations and delivering excellent service to our growing community of songwriters and composers.
