The Ivors Academy has announced the election of its new Board of Directors. This follows a vote by the Senate, a representative body of 40 songwriters and composers elected earlier this year by the Academy’s membership. From the Senate, 13 members have been selected to join the Board, demonstrating The Ivors Academy’s commitment to member-led governance.

The Board of Directors plays a crucial role in steering The Ivors Academy’s strategy and ensuring it delivers on its mission to protect, empower, and champion songwriters and composers.
As the governing body, the Board’s responsibilities include setting and reviewing the Academy’s strategic goals, approving policies and initiatives to address industry challenges, providing oversight on operations and growth, acting as ambassadors for the Academy, and strengthening its advocacy for the rights of songwriters and composers.
