Making tax digital with Sinéad Pratschke

Making tax digital with Sinead Pratschke (1)

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax starts in April 2026 and will affect many UK-based self-employed songwriters, composers and freelancers.

If you complete a UK Self Assessment tax return, these changes will affect how you record income, expenditure, and submit information to HMRC.

This session is relevant to anyone required to complete a UK Self Assessment tax return because they have qualifying income above £50,000, with the threshold set to reduce to £20,000 by 2028.

This practical webinar, delivered by Sinéad Pratschke of Musicians’ Tax Advisor, explains what Making Tax Digital means in practice, who it applies to, what tools you will need, and how to stay compliant while keeping your finances organised.

What we’ll cover

  • When you will be required to use Making Tax Digital, and which types of income bring you into scope.
  • What the new reporting requirements are.
  • Your options for submitting information to HMRC.
