The Ivors Academy has announced that The Ivors with Amazon Music will take place on Thursday 22nd May 2025, at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.
Entries for the Ivor Novello Awards will open on 2nd December 2024 and close on 17th January 2025. Following judging by renowned songwriters and composers from The Ivors Academy, the nominations will be revealed on 24th April 2025.
As one of the most respected award ceremonies in music, The Ivors with Amazon Music honours outstanding achievements in the art and craft of songwriting and screen composing. Ivor Novello Awards will be presented to recognise exceptional originality, skill and impact for songs and scores written by UK and Irish songwriters and composers and released in the UK in 2024. Additionally, the Gift of the Academy awards are presented to writers with sustained influence and contributions to music.
The Ivors with Amazon Music 2024 was a spectacular showcase of songwriting and composing talent. Highlights included Bruce Springsteen becoming the first international songwriter to be inducted into Fellowship of The Ivors Academy. RAYE was named Songwriter of the Year with Amazon Music, while Lana Del Rey received the Special International Award, and Bernie Taupin was honoured with the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.
Victoria Canal returned, after winning the Rising Star Award in 2023, to claim the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically alongside Jonny Lattimer and Eg White. Jerskin Fendrix won Best Original Film Score for Poor Things, KT Tunstall received Outstanding Song Collection with PRS for Music and Skepta was awarded the Visionary Award with Amazon Music.
