Payment, eligibility and label-specific terms are set by each major label group.
- For Sony Music Group UK labels, submit your per diem claim using the form above.
- For Universal Music Group UK labels, after the session, songwriters should contact the label A&R Manager who organised the session to obtain email confirmation of their attendance at the session. Songwriters should request the name of the A&R Admin Manager who will approve the expense. Per diem expenses should then be submitted via Uniport (the Universal Music Group online payment portal). - For Warner Music Group UK labels, when accepting Warner Music UK’s invitation to attend the writing session (or thereafter but prior to the date of the writing session), the songwriter must let the the record label know (in writing i.e.: by email) of their intention to claim per diems and/or request reimbursement of expenses if they are eligible to do so. If the songwriter is not already set up in Warner Music UK’s payment system, the A&R coordination team will provide instructions on how to get the songwriter set up. The songwriter should request a PO following the session from the A&R coordination team. Once the PO has been received, the songwriter should submit their invoice as instructed on the PO.
