Janee Bennett (Jin Jin), sits down with Board Director of The Ivors Academy Eve Horne, to discuss her journey from Manchester's grime scene to the global pop stage.

Jin Jin is a trailblazing songwriter whose influence spans grime, pop, dance, afrobeats and beyond. She has written for David Guetta, Sabrina Carpenter, RAYE, Jess Glynne, Burna Boy, Becky G, Maluma, JLO, Wizkid, Kylie Minogue and Jax Jones, having cut her teeth in the grime scene with Boy Better Know, Roll Deep and Skepta.
Her co-writing credits include the global smash "You Don't Know Me" (Jax Jones and RAYE), "Bed" (Joel Corry, David Guetta and RAYE), and Jess Glynne's UK No. 1s "Hold My Hand" and "Not Letting Go".
A label founder and mentor to emerging talent, Jin Jin has also co-written the UEFA Championship anthem "Rotate" with Burna Boy and Becky G, "Evergreen" with Yebba, PlayStation's "Vroom", and tracks for JLO, Maluma, Ed Sheeran, Little Mix and Sean Paul.
