The Ivors Academy Honours

The Ivors Academy Honours celebrates the trailblazers, innovators and advocates who champion songwriters and composers.

They pay tribute to those making a lasting impact to support a thriving songwriter and composer community. The awards recognise music executives and creators who are setting higher standards and driving best practice across the sector.

On 1 October, we honoured seven incredible people whose work has made a difference to music and the people who create it.

Stormzy was recognised for his impact on British music and culture, and the opportunities he has created for others. James Blake was recognised for his artistry and his advocacy for fairness, ownership and better pay for creators.

Emily Eavis was honoured for championing emerging talent through Glastonbury Festival, and Annie Macmanus for bringing new music to wider audiences throughout her career.

MNEK was recognised for his work as a songwriter, producer and artist, and for creating opportunities for LGBTQIA+ talent. CEO of Publishing, Believe, Chris Meehan was honoured for making music publishing more accessible and fair for songwriters, and CEO of IMRO, Ireland’s music rights collecting society, Victor Finn for his longstanding support of Irish songwriters and composers.
