Dáil support for stronger AI copyright protections welcomed by The Ivors Academy, IMRO and Screen Composers Guild of Ireland

The Ivors Academy, IMRO and Screen Composers Guild of Ireland have welcomed the passing by Dáil Éireann of Sinn Féin’s motion, Protecting the Copyright of Irish Artists in the era of Artificial Intelligence, describing it as an important step towards ensuring that music creators’ works cannot be used by generative AI systems without consent, transparency, licensing and fair remuneration.
