The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors, in association with PRS for Music, presented the Gold Badge Awards this afternoon, 28th October 2009 at the Park Lane Hotel in London.
The awards recognise the work of men and women who have made a special contribution to Britain’s music and entertainment industry, and over the last 36 years have paid tribute to an array of industry figures, including broadcasters, recording artists, publishers, arrangers, producers and record company executives.
This year, the recipients represent talent from a broad range of backgrounds; winners include singers and songwriters, a music copyist, a producer, a concert promoter and a violinist.
The full list of those to whom BASCA awarded the Gold Badge of Merit today, in alphabetical order, is as follows:
