Held during Ivors Composer Week, the Summit brings together leading composers and music industry experts for a day of practical knowledge, creative inspiration and meaningful connections for composers working across all genres and disciplines.
The first speakers include acclaimed composers David Arnold, Morgan Kibby, Debbie Wiseman, Nainita Desai, Emily Howard, Sheridan Tongue and Orphy Robinson, alongside founder and CEO of Fairly Trained Ed Newton-Rex, Controller of BBC Radio 3 and the BBC Proms Sam Jackson and music supervisor Catherine Grieves.
The packed programme will explore career breakthroughs, finding commissions, building industry connections, protecting rights and retaining ownership of music. Sessions will also examine working with music supervisors, creative partnerships, AI licensing, royalties and making a sustainable living from composition.
A special BMI Fireside Chat will bring together David Arnold and Morgan Kibby, while other sessions will explore the creative partnership behind Apple TV+'s Slow Horses and new opportunities for composers across screen, games, concert halls and performance.
