  1. Prize details

There two prizes available. Each prize consists of one gift card to the value of £100. One prize will be given to a member of The Ivors Academy and the other to a member of the Musicians’ Union. 

  1. How to enter

Entry to this prize draw is free and at no cost to members of The Ivors Academy or the Musicians’ Unions 

To enter, participants must: 

  • Answer all required questions in the survey. 
  • Provide a valid email address. 
  • Incomplete entries or entries without a valid email will not be considered. 

Participants may only enter this prize draw once. 

The Ivors Academy and the Musician’s Union cannot accept responsibility if details entered into the prize draw to enable participation are incomplete or inaccurate. 

  1. Eligibility

Entry is open to individuals who: 

  • Are 18 years of age or older. 
  • Are members of The Ivors Academy, Musicians’ Union or joint members of both organisations at the time of entry. 
  1. Exclusions

The following individuals are not eligible to enter: 

  • Employees of The Ivors Academy or the Musicians’ Union. 
  1. Entry deadline

Entries are open from 9:00 AM (BST) on Thursday 9 October and must be received by 5:00 PM (GMT) on Thursday, 6 November 2025. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered. 

If the entry deadline is amended or changed this will be communicated on the social media accounts of The Ivors Academy and Musicians’ Union and on the accompanying survey. 

  1. Winner selection

Two winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received before the closing date. 

One winner will be drawn from eligible entries from members of The Ivors Academy and the second winner will be drawn from eligible entries from members of The Musicians’ Union. Joint members may be eligible for either prize. 

  1. Notification of winners

Winners will be notified via email using the contact details provided in the entry form. 

If a winner does not respond within 14 days, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to another eligible entrant. 

All entrants may apply for details of the winning participant by contacting us at info@ivorsacademy.com and writers@themu.org. The winner agrees to the release of their first name and county within the U.K to any other prize draw participants if requested via The Ivors Academy and the Musicians Union. 

  1. General

The promoter of this prize draw is The Ivors Academy and The Musicians’ Union. They can be contacted via email at info@ivorsacademy.com and membership@themu.org. 

No cash alternative or substitution of the prize will be offered. 

The decision of The Ivors Academy and the Musicians Union regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. 

The Ivors Academy and the Musicians’ Union reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel the prize draw at any time without prior notice. 

The Ivors Academy and the Musicians Union do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize. 

Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will be processed as set out in our Privacy Policy. 

The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
