WELCOME TO IVORS WEEK

Ivors Week 2023 is coming soon. Monday 15th to Friday 20th May will see a week of events celebrating songwriters and supporting up-and-coming music creators through The Ivors Academy Trust.

2022 events

Behind the Songs

Ivors Week launched with Behind the Songs, hosted by presenter Nada, who was in conversation with singer-songwriter Sam Ryder. There were also performances from Kizzy Crawford, IMOGEN and Hope Winter.

The David Ferguson lecture

Tuesday saw livestream of the David Ferguson lecture exploring Music & Mental Health with support from Miloco Studios and BAPAM – the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine. The panellists were songwriters Ray BLK and Jack Garratt, co-author of Can Music Make You Sick? Sally Anne Gross, Sony Music’s Elton Jackson and Denise Devenish. Watch again

Credits Due – It starts with the song: how do we identify songwriters?

This workshop was all about the first step in the process and lifecycle of a music career — songwriting — led by Fiona Bevan with a selection of industry experts.
