General info

Each year The Ivors Academy invites entries for The Ivors, which is when Ivor Novello Awards are presented to celebrate British and Irish songwriting and screen composition. The following seven Ivor Novello Award categories were open for entries in 2021:

Rising Star Award with Apple Music
Best Album
Best Contemporary Song
Best Original Film Score
Best Original Video Game Score
Best Song Musically and Lyrically
Best Television Soundtrack

Entries across all categories have now closed.

When entries are open anyone can enter an eligible work or submission, including the songwriter or composer themselves. The Academy has published Award Access Guidelines to improve access to its awards and remove barriers to entry.
