The Ivors are presented to music creators and their associated UK music publishers in recognition of works released during the award year.
Anyone can enter a work, including the songwriter or composer. To be eligible, works must have a British or Irish writing contribution of at least 33.3% and have been commercially released in the UK during the calendar year ending 31st December 2018.
The Rising Star Award with Apple Music requires a submission of three works to reflect a young music creator’s exceptional songwriting or composing talent. There is no fee to enter the Rising Star Award with Apple Music. Entrants must be Under 25 Members of The Ivors Academy.
An administration fee of £57.50 + VAT is payable per entry for the following categories: Best Song Musically and Lyrically, Best Contemporary Song, Best Album, Best Original Film Score, Best Television Soundtrack and Best Original Video Game Score. This fee is waived if one of the contributing songwriters or composers is a Standard or Academy member of The Ivors Academy. To request the code to waive the fee, please contact us via this page.
